Delirian Script in Use
Delirian Script & Ornaments, crafted by Andrey Sharonov, is a contemporary script that beautifully embodies the essence of classic calligraphy. Striking a perfect balance in its design, Delirian is neither too thin nor too thick, making it an embodiment of luxury and aesthetic perfection.
Andrey Sharonov demonstrates the versatility of this script through various examples. It's exceptionally well-suited for applications in logotypes, branding, wedding invitations, romantic greeting cards, alcohol labels, packaging, and personalized name spellings, among others.
The Delirian Script is enriched with exquisitely designed Uppercase and Lowercase letters, along with a complete set of numbers and punctuation. Adding to its charm are 158 alternate characters, 36 unique ligatures, and 10 variations of end-swashes, providing a wide range of stylistic options. Accompanying the script is a set of 26 ornamental elements, meticulously designed to complement the original script.
This script offers broad multilingual support, accommodating a variety of Western European languages including Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.
In terms of technical features, Delirian supports Stylistic Alternates through simple combinations, activated via the Standard Ligatures option in the Opentype panel of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. To access alternate characters, users can simply add a number like "2" after any letter, with each Uppercase character having 1-2 variations and Lowercase around 3-4. Additional features include Lowercase with underline and various end-swashes.
Ligatures are accessible through the Discretionary Ligatures option in the Opentype panel. It's important to note that these special features are not supported in Microsoft Word, highlighting the script's compatibility with professional design software.
